Who we are

Evakos is a web development and digital services provider operated by Christopher Barnard. Our website address is https://evakos.io. We are based in Alexandroupolis, Greece, in the European Union, and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate our business:

• Contact form submissions: your name, email address, and message content when you use our contact or project enquiry forms.
• Free website audit requests: the website address you give us, your name, email address, optional phone number, and where you came from (for example a search ad), so we can send your report and see which marketing works.
• Your audit page: if you sign in to read your free website audit, we record how many times you open it, how long you are active on it, and which sections you open. We use this only to follow up on what matters to you. It is counts and times, nothing you type.
• Mailing list: only if you tick the box on a form. We then keep your email address and first name, and the date and wording you agreed to. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us, and we will remove you.
• Email opens: emails we send to you may contain a small invisible image that tells our email provider when the email was delivered and opened. We use this to know whether a reply reached you. Most email apps let you block remote images if you prefer.
• Visit alerts: when a person visits the public site we may receive an email telling us the page, the country or city, the browser, and the site they came from. We do not store this or your IP address.
• Analytics data: anonymous usage data via Google Analytics, including pages visited, referral source, and device type. This data is not personally identifiable.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiries and provide our services.
• To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How long we keep it

Contact form data is retained for the duration of any active project or client relationship, plus 12 months after the last interaction. Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google Analytics.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following third-party services that are necessary for our operations:

• Google Analytics - website usage analytics.
• Vercel - website hosting.
• Resend - email delivery for contact forms and, if you opt in, our mailing list.

All third-party providers are GDPR compliant or operate under EU-approved data transfer mechanisms.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Request a portable copy of your data.
